About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Supervise HVAC Field Technicians who repair, retrofit, and replace environmental comfort systems
Train and develop HVAC Field Technicians
Provide technical advice and guidance
Assist with scheduling, organizing, and dispatching HVAC Field Technicians
Assist the Service Manager with hiring and termination recommendations
Maintain vehicles, including service records and repair and maintenance scheduling
Work with the Project Manager to prepare for on-site installations and repairs
Examine building layouts, anticipate difficulties, gather materials, and coordinate on-site work
Evaluate area safety needs and requirements
Provide feedback and recommendations to service technicians
Assist with implementing safety policies, procedures, and training

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in HVAC
Working knowledge of HVAC products, systems, electronics, and pneumatic controls
EPA-approved Universal Technician Certification
Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Ability to work in a field-based role at customer locations
Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required
