About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise HVAC Field Technicians who repair, retrofit, and replace environmental comfort systems
  • Train and develop HVAC Field Technicians
  • Provide technical advice and guidance
  • Assist with scheduling, organizing, and dispatching HVAC Field Technicians
  • Assist the Service Manager with hiring and termination recommendations
  • Maintain vehicles, including service records and repair and maintenance scheduling
  • Work with the Project Manager to prepare for on-site installations and repairs
  • Examine building layouts, anticipate difficulties, gather materials, and coordinate on-site work
  • Evaluate area safety needs and requirements
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to service technicians
  • Assist with implementing safety policies, procedures, and training

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in HVAC
  • Working knowledge of HVAC products, systems, electronics, and pneumatic controls
  • EPA-approved Universal Technician Certification
  • Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
  • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
  • Ability to work in a field-based role at customer locations
  • Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required
