About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist Rental HVAC Field Technicians with installation and repair of environmental control systems
Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers
Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys, and service requests
Assist with replacement and modification of equipment or systems
Learn end-to-end testing, startup, commissioning, and servicing on assigned projects
Serve as direct customer contact while servicing products and equipment on assigned projects
Identify, examine, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
Coordinate with supervising field technician, project manager, and customer on on-site installation and repairs
Use software, technology, and hand tools to diagnose and repair units
Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company assets
Work overtime, weekends, and occasional overnight stays as business requires

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school required
2+ years of experience in HVAC
Technical school or formal training preferred
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Working proficiency with a handheld computer such as a smartphone or iPad
Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Ability to work overtime and weekends, including occasional overnight stays
Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required
