About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Commissioning and maintenance of ventilation units
- Control technology to optimize systems and troubleshoot issues
- Installation work in Trane's Service and Rental Cooling departments
- Responsibility for assigned projects through to completion
- Participation in further training
- Independent diagnosis and repair of technical faults in ventilation and refrigeration systems
- Direct collaboration with Sales, Customer Care, Rental Cooling and Controls
- Selection of all necessary components
- Coordination of assignments with scheduling/planning
- Monitoring project progress and performing inventories
- Coordinating activities and maintaining customer relations
- Performing special tasks within Trane service areas
- Checking compliance with safety rules on construction sites
- Creating job site audits and near-miss reports in Gensuite
- Process-compliant documentation in specified documents and supporting tools
- Taking on additional tasks as defined by Trane
Requirements
What you’ll need- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Solid knowledge of ventilation, building technology and electrical engineering
- Service or field service experience advantageous; career changers welcome
- Independent, solution-oriented working style
- Quick comprehension / fast learner
- Strong problem-solving ability and analytical thinking
- Good spoken and written English
- French is an advantage
- Good MS Office skills and IT affinity
- Technical training in refrigeration, air conditioning or building technology
- Sales-oriented approach
- Timely order processing / on-time job completion
- Authorization to connect electrical equipment in accordance with Art. 15 NIV
- Conscientious, positive and reliable team player
