About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the North America Datacenter business unit’s strategic product portfolio
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, portfolio gaps, and the competitive landscape to initiate new offerings
  • Support and co-lead sourced Product Growth Teams to fill portfolio gaps
  • Explore evolving datacenter technologies and evaluate Make vs Buy, M&A, and partnership opportunities
  • Lead product-line strategy, long-range planning, P&L, and annual operating plans
  • Manage tradeoffs across revenue, margin, and market share
  • Develop and execute channel strategy to increase market coverage and closure rates
  • Manage day-to-day product-line and strategic-supplier needs and identify profitable growth opportunities
  • Develop and execute multigenerational product plans covering positioning, pricing, cost, margins, and customer value proposition
  • Align product-line strategy with peer portfolios, systems, services, and contracting initiatives
  • Define customer Critical to Quality specifications with market research teams
  • Initiate and support business cases for new product development programs
  • Collaborate with program managers and cross-functional development teams to deliver projects on time, within CTQs, and on budget
  • Create and execute marketing and commercialization for new offerings and product enhancements with strategic suppliers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • More than 5 years of product management or strategic marketing experience
  • P&L leadership experience required
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Technical bachelor's degree preferred
  • MBA highly desired
  • Experience in datacenters, the HVAC industry, and/or Lean preferred
  • Strong customer focus and understanding of how the company’s domain can positively impact customer business results
  • Excellent communication and executive presence
  • Ability to articulate a strategic vision and execute it to deliver business results
  • Capability to lead cross-functional internal and supplier teams
  • Results-driven product management experience
  • Ability to support product strategy, lifecycle management, multigenerational product plans, new product development, commercialization, customer research, supplier relationships, and go-to-market strategy
