About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Start and commission new systems
Diagnose and repair environmental-control systems
Service products and equipment on assigned projects
Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
Coordinate with team leaders and customers to understand requirements for on-site installations and repairs
Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
Maintain current knowledge of Trane products and direct digital control systems
Enforce safety standards
Record the use, wear, and condition of company-issued and procured assets
Work overtime and weeks as business needs require, including occasional overnight stays
Serve as the direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Typically at least 3–5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls
Technical School or formal training preferred
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Working proficiency with handheld computers such as smartphones and iPads
Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Previous experience with DDC controls systems preferred
EPA certification preferred
Ability to work overtime and weeks as business requires, including occasional overnight stays
Safety-sensitive role; additional drug screening may be required
