About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and develop processes for factory transformation projects and equipment implementation
- Improve productivity, quality, equipment performance, energy consumption, and downtime reduction
- Provide technical expertise for resolving manufacturing process and product design problems involving welding and/or braze processes
- Support cause/effect investigations, statistical studies, and corrective action planning
- Design manufacturing flow lines, workstation layouts, and station controls
- Ensure welding process code and regulatory compliance within the manufacturing facility
- Uphold manufacturing standards for machine capability, process maps, setups, quality controls, tooling and fixture records, routings, and cycle times
- Generate work instructions, job breakdowns, and standardized work
- Partner with on-site EHS to ensure equipment meets OSHA safety regulations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Project management experience
- Process automation experience
- AutoCAD or similar design software experience
- MIG welding experience, manual and robotic
- TIG welding experience, manual and robotic
- Knowledge of ASME, AWS, and PED code compliance
- Familiarity with pressure vessel welding processes
- Ability to coach, advise, and develop teammates and peers
- Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred
- Candidates without a 4-year degree are encouraged to apply
- Safety-sensitive role may require additional drug screening
