About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market
  • Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments
  • Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to understand on-site installation and repair requirements
  • Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
  • Serve as direct customer contact and manage products and equipment on assigned projects
  • Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
  • Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
  • Work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays
  • Enforce high safety standards
  • Record use, wear, and condition of company-issued and procured assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Typically 5+ years of experience in HVAC
  • Technical School or formal training preferred
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Working proficiency with handheld computers such as smartphones or iPads
  • Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months
  • No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit-and-run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
  • EPA Certification
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as business requires, including occasional overnight stays
  • Ability to pass additional drug screening for this safety-sensitive role
