About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts
- Use Splunk to investigate security events
- Design, develop, automate and tune Splunk detection rules
- Build and enhance automation and AI-driven workflows
- Perform proactive threat hunting
- Support administration and optimization of SIEM platform (Splunk)
- Partner with Engineering and Technology teams for security best practices
- Participate in the On-Call Rota with the Team
- Produce documentation, dashboards and reporting
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on experience with Splunk
- Experience designing, automating and improving threat detection capabilities
- Strong technical knowledge across cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking or cloud technologies
- Experience with security technologies such as Microsoft Defender and EDR solutions
- Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Knowledge in vulnerability management
- Experience working within an e-commerce or high-traffic digital environment
- Excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills
- Experience supporting compliance frameworks such as GDPR, PCI DSS or ISO 27001 would be helpful
