About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with and take assignments from Communications Schedule Manager, as well as Marketing.
  • Develop high-quality, engaging, and persuasive copy for a variety of channels, including websites, emails, social media, blogs, print materials, TLC Announcements, Leaders Digest, any other messaging in TLC or from the HO in Campfire, press releases, op-eds, annual report, video scripts, Basecamp content, SMS campaigns, HSG/ARRG updates, grants, donor letters, and more.
  • Work closely with marketing, field operations, and other department representatives to understand project requirements, target audience, and messaging goals.
  • Collaborate weekly with Public Relations firm or personnel to make sure communications are as effective as possible.
  • Collaborate with graphic designers, artists, and other creative team members to ensure cohesive and visually appealing communications.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences.
  • Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in tone and style.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of SEO best practices and integrate keywords effectively to enhance content visibility and engagement.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality copy that meets project specifications and deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously seek ways to improve and innovate the company's content strategies.
  • Monitor Campfire and Facebook throughout the week.
  • Identify story leads and conduct interviews, research as needed.
  • Collaboratively develop written content for Annual Report.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Experience in content creation for social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Understanding of data analytics and the ability to interpret data to inform content strategies.
