About the role

Play a key role in the design, build and validation of mathematical models that power market surveillance products
Work within the Metrics team responsible for end-to-end delivery of market abuse metrics and analytics
Design and implement complex quantitative models and sophisticated pattern-detection algorithms
Architect robust systems for quantitative analysis and prototype proprietary mathematical/statistical models
Lead technical research efforts and implement production-ready solutions using in-house big data languages
Optimise core algorithms for deep analysis of financial data, security pricing, and risk assessment
Ensure production systems meet performance and reliability requirements across the technology stack
Take ownership of major components of TradingHub's quantitative infrastructure

Proven financial markets experience, ideally within an investment bank or hedge fund
Proficiency with C#, Python or another object-oriented programming language
Exceptional mathematical and problem-solving skills
Exposure to the fixed-income or commodities asset classes
Deep understanding of derivatives and how they are priced (e.g. options, swaps, futures)
Good knowledge of database technologies such as SQL, Postgres etc.
Experience coaching more junior team members
Able to deliver projects to agreed deadlines with excellent prioritisation skills
Ability to produce high-quality software and combine mathematical skills with industry experience
