About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work on Trading Technologies’ award-winning SaaS trading platform for professional derivatives traders
Learn and support development, testing, and deployment processes for backend applications during the 3–6 month training period
Fix bugs and develop features
Learn operational responsibilities and participate in on-call rotations with a mentor
Support existing processes, tools, and applications
Develop and oversee rollout of new deployment features
Develop deployment methodologies using containers and/or Kubernetes
Perform change execution and operational duties during on-call rotations, including night and weekend work
Participate in design discussions and code reviews
Build, manage, and scale infrastructure supporting high-performance trading applications

Requirements

What you’ll need

Development experience and proficiency with AWS, Python, automation tools such as GitHub Actions, deployment systems such as Chef, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker
Comfortable working in a Linux environment
Experience designing and automating infrastructure
Experience building, managing, and scaling AWS environments using Terraform
Ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications
Knowledge of test automation, monitoring, non-functional requirements, and build-quality practices
Clean coding style with emphasis on readability
Familiarity with Git is a plus
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Fluent spoken and written English
Ability to communicate via whiteboard and produce architecture diagrams and documentation
Ability to perform night and weekend on-call work
