About the role
- Serve as primary link between HQ in Amsterdam and U.S. commercial team
- Identify opportunities in North America: new sales channels, partnerships, cooperation models, investment ideas
- Manage trade & supply chain activities including sales, procurement, contract management, vendor relations, inventory management, and potentially sourcing from origin
- Track and interpret market trends; provide actionable market intelligence
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
- Monitor market exposure and manage risk with the Global Cocoa Director
- Collaborate with global and US teams (sales, quality, pricing, logistics, sourcing)
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings
Requirements
- BA in Business Management, Marketing, International Trade, Agriculture, or related field (a plus)
- At least 5 years of experience in sales, international trade, or a comparable function
- Strategic mindset
- Problem-solving ability
- Relationship skills and cross-cultural communication
- Fluent English; Spanish is a strong plus
- Location: East Coast preferred; West Coast candidates must be willing to adjust hours for overlap with Europe
- Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
- Comfortable using MS Office and ERP systems; quick to learn new tools
- Experience with sales, procurement, contract management, vendor relations, inventory management (trade & supply chain)
