About the role
- Provide first-line technical support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, and desktop applications.
- Act as the initial point of contact for IT-related issues, ensuring timely resolution or escalation where required.
- Support user onboarding and offboarding, including account setup, access changes, and asset handover.
- Assist with administration of Domain names and DNS, Email mailboxes, Microsoft 365 / Office applications, and manage user permissions in line with predefined access policies.
- Coordinate acquisition, setup, and maintenance of computers, peripherals, and office IT equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure equipment is fit for purpose.
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers for repairs or replacements.
- Provide on-site support for office IT infrastructure, including Local networks (LAN/Wi-Fi) and Printers and shared devices.
- Act as the local technical contact for office connectivity issues.
- Support maintenance of company websites and hosting platforms.
- Ensure systems supporting the company’s external presence (e.g. website availability, business listings) remain operational and professional.
- Support day-to-day operation of endpoint security tools and VPN access.
- Follow centrally defined IT security standards and escalate incidents promptly.
- Assist with administration of Staff attendance and office management platforms, Door access and time recording systems, and CCTV recording systems (operational support only).
- Support upload, storage, and backup solutions for horse racing data and related video systems, coordinating with external vendors where applicable.

- **Preferred Qualifications:**
- BSc in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience/commitment to technology
