About the role

  • As a Field Engineer, you will be the face of our company at client locations, responsible for installing our products, providing on-site support, and ensuring their long-term success.
  • Your role blends technical expertise and customer service skills to deliver smooth setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our solutions while fostering strong client relationships and technical reliability.
  • You will also independently evaluate customer environments, design sensor implementation plans, and lead the technical strategy for installations, directing onsite resources to execute projects effectively and at scale.

Requirements

  • Perform on-site installation and configuration of our software and hardware solutions.
  • Design project scopes and installation plans for new deployments.
  • Advise customers on sensor network architecture and implementation best practices.
  • Independently make decisions on troubleshooting and integration approaches.
  • Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting as required.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely delivery and setup of materials.
  • Coordinate and align work across multiple sites or regions as needed.
  • Train clients on the proper use and maintenance of installed products.
  • Train and oversee contractors or junior technicians on installation processes.
  • Document installation processes and client interactions in HubSpot CRM.
  • Revisit sites for routine maintenance checks and client follow-ups.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company installation standards.
  • Continuously study relevant subjects and pursue certifications to progress toward a Technical Support Engineer or Sales Engineer role.
