About the role
- Develop advanced deep learning, machine learning and classic computer vision algorithms for football and American football products
- Write production-ready code with emphasis on deployment, monitoring and supportability (Python and C++)
- Design and execute experiments to acquire and prepare datasets for algorithm development
- Develop and extend tooling for computer vision development (data visualization, annotation, debugging)
- Develop appropriate system architecture for edge-based and server solutions
- Collaborate with engineers within Vision & AI and the tracking department to produce high quality cutting edge systems
- Work on projects including object detection and tracking (balls, players), optical flow for ball flight, radar-camera calibration, and human pose tracking
Requirements
- Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in computer vision, machine learning, computer science, mathematical modelling, or equivalent
- 3+ years of practical experience in implementing and deploying computer vision systems
- Strong software development and programming skills within Python and C++
- Experienced in computer vision techniques including object detection, video tracking, and image analysis
- Experienced in deep learning and convolutional neural networks
- Experience with system optimization and deploying computer vision systems
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to take an idea from concept to polished implementation
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Good communication skills in English
- Nice to haves: experience with image acquisition and camera calibration
- Nice to haves: knowledge of video formats, camera hardware, drivers and low-level software
