About the role

  • Manage a team of independent field crews; resolving complex issues with orthoimage data acquisition and GNSS measurements
  • Vetting potential consultants to perform data acquisition on behalf of TraceAir
  • Leading collaboration with data acquisition and processing teams to increase production efficiency and product quality
  • Data acquisition processes documentation maintenance and deployment
  • Train and advise new consultants & employees within UAS mapping and GNSS data acquisition protocols
  • Manage asset acquisition, status, and documentation
  • English language requirement but also Spanish is additionally preferred
  • Some ability to travel (5-15%) mostly of company events
  • Deep knowledge of U.S.A. specific construction surveying & geodetic practices
  • Tech-savvy and likes to get into the details
  • Strong problem-solving & communication skills
  • Independent once you understand the basics

Requirements

  • 10-15 years experience in surveying and geomatics in the field, with 5 years of office based calibration experience
  • Solid understanding of UAS drones and photogrammetry
  • Extensive Geomatics and Surveying principles
  • Experience managing field crews who fly drones and use GNSS rovers
  • 2 years experience managing two or more field crews at a time (tasks, unlock issues, scheduling, performance, etc)
  • U.S. construction projects experience
  • Entrepreneurial spirit/experience with a strong growth mindset
  • Adaptable and comfortable with a fast-paced environment
  • Active relationship builder who can collaborate with internal and external teams to consistently improve processes and communication workflows
  • Licenses: PLS or LSIT as well as FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot current (Highly preferred but not required)
  • Experience engaging with clients and coordinating with their surveyors and engineers to define project’s coordinate reference systems
  • You have worked for a Construction Tech, Homebuilder, or Land Development Company
  • You've worked at a fast-growing startup
  • You have previously successfully worked in a remote & distributed team
