About the role

  • Provide technical expertise in Missile Defense (MD) modeling and simulation and/or analysis supporting C2BMC
  • Plan and execute performance analyses on C2BMC and its interactions with current and planned-future MD Elements
  • Document analysis results in reports and briefings and present analysis results to a variety of audiences
  • Develop requirements for complex system models/simulations
  • Execute, test, evaluate, and troubleshoot MD-level, large-scale models/simulations
  • Develop, test, and evaluate threat scenarios
  • Develop tools to support analysis and development efforts in MATLAB and Python
  • Provide data to support decisions regarding system/element representations and modeling parameters used in large-scale simulations
  • Interact with members of other C2BMC Product Teams, C2BMC leadership, MDA customers, technical SMEs, and leadership of other MD Element programs

Requirements

  • Discrete event simulation modeling
  • Data analysis using tools in Python, MATLAB
  • Exposure to tactical-strategic weapon and sensor message standards
  • Software development in a Linux and agile environment using MATLAB (strongly preferred), Python (strongly preferred) and/or Java, Bash, etc.
  • Radar design and performance
  • Strategic and tactical missile threat characterization/performance/modeling
  • Simulation modeling of complex systems
  • Requirement and test condition decomposition
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience working in a Unix/Linux environment
  • Experience with GIT environment a plus
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college
  • Master’s degree in a technical field preferred
  • Clearance requirement: Secret
