About the role
- Provide technical expertise in Missile Defense (MD) modeling and simulation and/or analysis supporting C2BMC
- Plan and execute performance analyses on C2BMC and its interactions with current and planned-future MD Elements
- Document analysis results in reports and briefings and present analysis results to a variety of audiences
- Develop requirements for complex system models/simulations
- Execute, test, evaluate, and troubleshoot MD-level, large-scale models/simulations
- Develop, test, and evaluate threat scenarios
- Develop tools to support analysis and development efforts in MATLAB and Python
- Provide data to support decisions regarding system/element representations and modeling parameters used in large-scale simulations
- Interact with members of other C2BMC Product Teams, C2BMC leadership, MDA customers, technical SMEs, and leadership of other MD Element programs
Requirements
- Discrete event simulation modeling
- Data analysis using tools in Python, MATLAB
- Exposure to tactical-strategic weapon and sensor message standards
- Software development in a Linux and agile environment using MATLAB (strongly preferred), Python (strongly preferred) and/or Java, Bash, etc.
- Radar design and performance
- Strategic and tactical missile threat characterization/performance/modeling
- Simulation modeling of complex systems
- Requirement and test condition decomposition
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
- Knowledge and hands-on experience working in a Unix/Linux environment
- Experience with GIT environment a plus
- Bachelor of Science in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field from an accredited college
- Master’s degree in a technical field preferred
