About the role

  • Responsible for receiving and responding to calls from clients related to the medication management process.
  • Making pre-authorizations by established guidelines and procedures.
  • Validating medication coverage and documenting in the system the service provided.
  • Participate with the pharmacy supervisor in tasks related to validation of drug coverage.
  • Works on the resolution of cases (complaints or appeals) presented by agencies.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant.
  • At least one (1) year of experience providing service in the community or institutional pharmacies such as hospitals, diagnosis, and treatment centers (CDTs), nursing services facilities, or asylums.
  • A valid Pharmacy Technician License and Registration is required.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 clinical criteria and/or CPT procedure codes.
  • Spanish – Intermediate (comprehensive, writing and verbal)
  • English – Intermediate (comprehensive, writing and verbal)
