Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for receiving and responding to calls from clients related to the medication management process.
Making pre-authorizations by established guidelines and procedures.
Validating medication coverage and documenting in the system the service provided.
Participate with the pharmacy supervisor in tasks related to validation of drug coverage.
Works on the resolution of cases (complaints or appeals) presented by agencies.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant.
At least one (1) year of experience providing service in the community or institutional pharmacies such as hospitals, diagnosis, and treatment centers (CDTs), nursing services facilities, or asylums.
A valid Pharmacy Technician License and Registration is required.
Knowledge of ICD-10 clinical criteria and/or CPT procedure codes.
Spanish – Intermediate (comprehensive, writing and verbal)
English – Intermediate (comprehensive, writing and verbal)
