About the role
- Responsible for receiving and responding to calls from clients related to the medication management process.
- Making pre-authorizations by established guidelines and procedures.
- Validating medication coverage and documenting in the system the service provided.
- Participate with the pharmacy supervisor in tasks related to validation of drug coverage.
- Works on the resolution of cases (complaints or appeals) presented by agencies.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant.
- At least one (1) year of experience providing service in the community or institutional pharmacies such as hospitals, diagnosis, and treatment centers (CDTs), nursing services facilities, or asylums.
- A valid Pharmacy Technician License and Registration is required.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 clinical criteria and/or CPT procedure codes.
- Spanish – Intermediate (comprehensive, writing and verbal)
- English – Intermediate (comprehensive, writing and verbal)
