About the role
- Manage financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Oversee all accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership for strategic decision-making
- Support development of financial models for business planning and forecasting
- Conduct profitability analyses for different service lines and business units
- Develop and maintain strong internal control procedures and coordinate annual audits with external auditors
- Monitor and ensure compliance with tax laws, corporate governance, and financial regulations
- Lead and mentor a small finance team, collaborating with department heads on budgets and cost controls
- Partner with operations and legal teams to ensure accurate billing and case-related financial reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
- At least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Expertise in financial reporting
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance requirements
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance, and financial best practices
- Experience with Rippling (HRIS) and QuickBooks Online (Accounting) preferred, but not required
- Experience in professional services, legal, or consulting industry preferred but not required
- Must be available 9am - 5pm EST (remote)
