About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the implementation of the national gambling related harm prevention programme across the peninsula of Devon and Cornwall.
- Undertake analysis and interpretation of complex, developing data sets.
- Turn data into accessible information to enhance public health intelligence.
- Provide input and advice on understanding the needs of the population regarding gambling harm.
- Address health inequalities and determine priorities for action.
- Actively disseminate findings to a wide audience.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Devon and Cornwall.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Highly developed analytical skills with experience of analysing and interpreting data and/or information to improve the health and wellbeing outcomes of a population community or group.
- An understanding of data security and confidentiality issues.
- The ability to communicate effectively with a range of different people and using different methods.
- Organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workloads within timescales and meet deadlines.
- Report writing and presentation.
- The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
