About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and coordinate end-to-end procurement and contract management activity for IT,
Ensure compliance with public sector regulations and deliver best value for the Council.
Work alongside technical teams, project leads, and Commercial Services to support critical programmes and day-to-day operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Commercial skills including commercial evaluation, tender analysis and evaluation and identification of appropriate routes to market and procurement procedures.
Ability to quickly become familiar with new IT concepts and technical terms.
Influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills and the ability to use these skills when dealing with situations where there may be resistance to ensure compliance, improved performance and / or positive outcomes for all parties.
Ability to work on and prioritise multiple projects, dealing with conflicting and ever-changing priorities.
Good attention to detail.
This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
