About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist in reviewing and validating payroll data prior to submission, including timekeeping records, deductions, bonuses, and other adjustments
  • Audit payroll reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the vendor and internal departments
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
  • Maintain payroll documentation and records in accordance with company policies and legal requirements
  • Support year-end processes including W-2 review, tax filings, and audits
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in the implementation and optimization of payroll systems and processes
  • Monitor vendor performance and participate in periodic reviews and evaluations
  • Additional Responsibilities as Assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably with outsourced payroll providers
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with payroll systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paychex, etc.) and HRIS platforms
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality and attention to detail
  • FPC/CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus
