About the role

  • Own the product vision and strategy for TomTom's Location Intelligence & Agentic AI business — transforming our world-class spatial data assets into a high-growth, developer-driven platform used far beyond mobility.
  • Define and execute a roadmap across Search & Geolocation Services, Self-Service Platform & Portal, Location Analytics, and emerging Agentic AI integrations (MCP, Web SDK, AI agent tooling).
  • Expand TomTom's addressable market into verticals such as government, insurance, retail, logistics, and climate — where location intelligence is a core enabler, not an afterthought.
  • Own the end-to-end developer and enterprise experience: APIs, SDKs, data products, and the Developer Portal. Your goal is to make TomTom the easiest, most reliable, and most powerful geospatial platform for developers and AI agents to build on.
  • Drive product-led growth: improve API adoption, reduce integration friction, expand self-service capabilities, and connect usage directly to ARR.
  • Partner closely with the Map & Content Platform (PA1) and Mobility Intelligence (PA2) VPs to leverage shared infrastructure and ensure TomTom's location data is accessible, agent-ready, and competitively positioned.
  • Build and lead a world-class product team — setting a high bar for product thinking, customer empathy, and execution velocity.
  • Serve as the internal and external voice for this product area: with engineering, commercial, and executive stakeholders, as well as with developers, enterprise customers, and the broader geospatial/AI ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 10+ years in product management, with at least 3–5 years leading product organizations at scale (ideally $50M+ ARR or equivalent scope).
  • Demonstrated success building developer-facing or API-first products — you understand what it takes to win with a technical customer base and have driven measurable developer adoption.
  • Track record of launching and scaling products in data-heavy, platform, or geospatial domains — experience with location, maps, geospatial analytics, or spatial data is a strong plus.
  • Experience expanding products into new verticals or industries, including enterprise sales motions and partner-led growth.
  • Strong analytical foundation: comfortable with data, metrics, and using quantitative insight to prioritize and validate product decisions.
  • Technically credible: able to engage deeply with engineering and data science teams, understand architectural tradeoffs, and make informed decisions on platform design, APIs, and data infrastructure — without needing to write the code yourself.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, and ideally hands-on exposure to how LLMs, AI agents, or retrieval-augmented systems consume structured data and external APIs. Understanding of the emerging agentic AI landscape (tool use, MCP, orchestration) is a meaningful plus.
  • Entrepreneurial and ownership-driven: you operate like a founder — you set direction under ambiguity, make bold bets, and take accountability for outcomes.
  • Strong strategic clarity: able to cut through a wide, fluid scope (as this area will be) and make crisp choices about where to focus and what not to do.
  • Excellent communicator and influencer — able to align diverse stakeholders (engineering, sales, C-suite, external partners) around a coherent vision.
  • Naturally customer-obsessed: you spend time with developers and enterprise users, bring their perspective into every product decision, and can translate complex needs into elegant product solutions.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid iteration — this is a growth area with a scope that will evolve, and you'll help shape what it becomes.
Benefits
  • A competitive compensation package, of course.
  • Time and resources to grow and develop, including a personal development budget and paid leave for learning days, as well as paid access to e-learning resources such as O’Reilly and LinkedIn Learning.
  • Time to support life outside of work, with enhanced parental leave plus paid leave to care for loved ones and volunteer in local communities.
  • Work flexibility, where TomTom’ers, in agreement with their manager and team, use both the office and home to focus, collaborate, learn and socialize. It’s all about getting the best out of both worlds – we ask TomTom’ers to come to the office two days a week, and the remaining three are free to be worked in either location.
  • Improve your home office with a setup budget and get extra support with a monthly allowance.
  • Enjoy options to work from your home country and abroad for a set number of days each year, to visit family and friends, or to simply explore the world we’re mapping.
  • Take the holidays you want with a competitive holiday plan, plus an extra day off to celebrate your birthday.
  • Join annual events like our Hackathon and DevDays to bring your ideas to life with talented teammates from around the world.
  • Become a part of our inclusive global culture and have the chance to collaborate with a diverse community – we have over 80 nationalities at TomTom!
  • Find out more about our global benefits and enjoy additional local benefits tailored to your location.
