About the role
- Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how users interact with our products.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.
- Inform, influence, and support product decisions and deliveries.
- Product Roadmap; Help Product Management identify and optimize the decision-making process of identifying and classifying requirements/initiatives that have the biggest bang for buck. Help Product Management improve and optimize the impact of concurrent and competing requirements on the road map and existing commitments. Performing “what-if” analysis. Influencing product teams through data-driven recommendations. Spreading best practices to analytics and product teams. Evaluate investments and cost of opportunities
- Product Analytics; Monitoring key product metrics, and understanding root causes of changes in metrics. Building and analyzing dashboards and reports. Building key data sets powering operational and exploratory analysis. Evaluating and defining metrics
- Exploratory Analysis; Understanding ecosystems, user behaviors, and long-term trends. Identifying new points of leverage to influence key metrics. Building models of user behaviors
Requirements
- 1+ year(s) experience doing quantitative analysis
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field
- Hands-on experience with Spark, Big Data, and Elasticsearch, as well as with analysis automation and data pipelines.
- Experience in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Development experience in Python any scripting language (Python, )
- Ability to communicate the results of analyses with product and leadership teams to influence the strategy of the product
- Understanding of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions)
- Ideally, hands-on experience with Spark distributed computing
