About the role
- Site management: Overall operational responsibility for the locations, including leadership of site managers, workforce planning, and ensuring efficient operational processes. Travel as required.
- Process and cost optimization: Analyze, control, and continuously improve operational processes at the locations and build central, scalable core processes (e.g., procurement, resource planning) to ensure cost efficiency.
- Metrics & performance management: Define, monitor, and optimize relevant operational KPIs (e.g., utilization, dropout rates, cost per participant, program success).
- Finance and controlling: Responsible for budget planning, cost control, and regular reporting in the context of operational course delivery.
- Course delivery: Ensure high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of the offered training programs.
- Participant administration: Design, build, and manage a cross-site participant administration system, considering operational and funding requirements.
- Resource and capacity planning: Cross-site planning of staff, rooms, vehicles, and equipment to achieve optimal utilization.
- Lease and contract management: Responsible for existing and new lease, sublease, and leasing contracts (locations, vehicles, hardware) including negotiation and ongoing management.
- Quality management: Overall responsibility for quality management of the educational offerings, including preparation and support for audits, provider and program certifications, and the introduction of new products at the locations.
- Point of contact: Professional and organizational support for instructors, participants, and external partners (e.g., funding agencies, service providers).
- Interface with executive management: Close collaboration with executive management on operational decisions, scaling issues, and strategic initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in business administration, educational management, human resources, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable operational leadership role, ideally in a multi-site or education-related environment.
- Proven success in building and scaling cost-efficient operations structures and processes.
- Strong leadership skills and excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Analytical thinking and confident use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Structured, solution-oriented working style with a hands-on mentality.
- Experience with multi-site organizations or branch operations.
- High self-initiative, assertiveness, resilience, and strong team spirit.
- Very good German language skills, written and spoken.
- Experience in the AZAV environment or managing publicly funded training programs (SGB II / SGB III) is an advantage.
