About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Achieve sales objectives in the assigned territory through business development, maintenance, and enhancement
- Create, maintain, and increase sales by influencing prescribing habits through calls on healthcare providers and organizations
- Develop relationships with non-prescribing healthcare providers and account decision-makers
- Sell across clinics, health systems, specialty pharmacies, inpatient pharmacies, infusion centers, and specialty clinics
- Conduct compliant product mixing and administration demonstrations
- Communicate clinical, technical, therapeutic, disease-state, and product information to customers
- Develop territory business plans and execute sales and marketing tactics
- Complete routine reports, annual business plans, and quarterly territory-performance analyses
- Represent Tolmar at internal meetings, trade shows, and community events
- Manage promotional-item inventory and promotional budgets compliantly
- Enter sales calls in the CRM, submit expense reports, and maintain company vehicle records
- Partner with different company departments as needed
- Report adverse events and technical complaints to Pharmacovigilance and Patient Safety
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance and perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in science, business or a related field
- 5 or more years of successful independent pharmaceutical and/or business-to-business sales experience
- Consistent and proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
- Pediatric Endocrinology, Rare Disease and/or Buy and Bill sales experience preferred
- Pharmacy sales experience preferred, including Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Based Pharmacies
- Clinical experience helpful
- Must reside within the Denver, CO territory and be willing to cover the entire assigned geographical sales space
- Valid driver’s license and good driving history; ability to be approved and insured to drive a company fleet vehicle
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, CRM systems, and virtual platforms
- Strong negotiation and selling techniques
- Aptitude for learning technical and scientific product information
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, execute territory business plans, collaborate with internal and external customers, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment and compliance with ethical guidelines
- Ability to sit, drive, and stand
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Overnight travel required for up to 75% of the work week; air travel as required
- Availability to work extra hours and weekends as necessary
