About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute category strategies across Fleet, Equipment, Parts and Maintenance portfolios
- Lead complex sourcing activities, tenders, RFQs and supplier negotiations
- Drive commercial outcomes through cost optimisation, supplier innovation and value creation initiatives
- Partner with Operations, Fleet, Finance and business leaders to deliver strategic procurement solutions
- Manage supplier performance through governance, scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews
- Coach and develop the Procurement Analyst, building capability and procurement excellence
- Improve performance, reduce total cost of ownership and create lasting business value
Requirements
What you’ll need- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline
- CIPS or equivalent procurement qualification is highly regarded
- Demonstrated experience managing fleet, equipment, maintenance or asset-intensive categories
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and contract management principles
- Experience developing business cases and financial models
- Exposure to procurement technologies such as SAP Ariba, Icertis, Power BI or similar tools is advantageous
- 10+ years' experience in procurement, category management or strategic sourcing
- Proven ability to lead high-value commercial negotiations and supplier relationships
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence, engage and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
- Experience resolving complex supplier issues and delivering mutually beneficial outcomes
- Self-motivated, highly independent and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment
- Must be entitled to work in Australia
- Must be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and medical
