About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and execute category strategies across Fleet, Equipment, Parts and Maintenance portfolios
  • Lead complex sourcing activities, tenders, RFQs and supplier negotiations
  • Drive commercial outcomes through cost optimisation, supplier innovation and value creation initiatives
  • Partner with Operations, Fleet, Finance and business leaders to deliver strategic procurement solutions
  • Manage supplier performance through governance, scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews
  • Coach and develop the Procurement Analyst, building capability and procurement excellence
  • Improve performance, reduce total cost of ownership and create lasting business value

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or a related discipline
  • CIPS or equivalent procurement qualification is highly regarded
  • Demonstrated experience managing fleet, equipment, maintenance or asset-intensive categories
  • Strong understanding of strategic sourcing and contract management principles
  • Experience developing business cases and financial models
  • Exposure to procurement technologies such as SAP Ariba, Icertis, Power BI or similar tools is advantageous
  • 10+ years' experience in procurement, category management or strategic sourcing
  • Proven ability to lead high-value commercial negotiations and supplier relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence, engage and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Experience resolving complex supplier issues and delivering mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Self-motivated, highly independent and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment
  • Must be entitled to work in Australia
  • Must be prepared to undertake pre-employment checks including a criminal history check and medical
