Business Development Manager – Forwarding
Toll GroupBusiness Development Manager responsible for driving business growth through customer acquisition and relationship management. Supporting logistics solutions at Toll Group, a global logistics provider.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories, industries, and target market segments.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, KPIs, revenue and gross profit objectives.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals and customer engagement activities.
- Grow existing customer accounts through cross-selling and upselling of Toll products and services.
- Conduct sales presentations, customer visits, business reviews and solution discussions to secure new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
- Ensure timely follow-up and effective responses to customer inquiries, sales leads and business opportunities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 3 years of sales/business development experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain solutions.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) is mandatory for direct reporting and collaboration with National Sales Manager.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret data into actionable business insights.
- Proven record in managing complex customer relationships and driving account growth.
- Self-motivated, with ability to work independently.
