About the role
- Analyze and underwrite complex Surety (Guarantee) insurance risks (construction projects, infrastructure, large contracts)
- Prepare large-risk quotations aligned with technical and commercial guidelines and authorization limits
- Conduct detailed analysis of contracts, legal proceedings and risk documents to determine acceptance or declination
- Serve as the technical reference for the Surety product, supporting analysts and standardizing underwriting practices
- Support the Commercial area and brokers by providing technical guidance on products, coverages and contractual clauses
- Negotiate coinsurance and facultative reinsurance, including communication with reinsurers in English
- Review risk inspection reports and technical recommendations to support underwriting decisions
- Attend external meetings, broker/client visits and occasional business travel throughout the year
- Monitor the technical and commercial performance of the portfolio, producing periodic analyses and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration, Economics or related fields
- Strong experience in Surety (Guarantee) Insurance, preferably at an insurance company
- Proven experience analyzing structured and complex surety risks
- Experience working with brokers, including client servicing and technical negotiations
- Intermediate English for communication with reinsurers in facultative transactions
- Availability for visits and travel to partner brokers
