About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- reviewing and analyzing underwriting data
- evaluating new and renewal accounts
- processing underwriting activities
- monitoring portfolio performance
- developing and executing strategic underwriting and portfolio plans
- leading product development and refinement initiatives
- participating in P&L management and portfolio performance analysis
- ensuring compliance with applicable domestic and international insurance laws and regulations
- preparing and updating monthly underwriting reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelors degree in a related field, or the equivalent education and /or experience
- Minimum of five years of experience in Accident & Health Insurance Underwriting preferred
- Proven negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills; demonstrated financial acumen and high attention to detail
- Advanced proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
