About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop a strategic territory plan by identifying and meeting with prospective agents regarding ProAg’s insurance offerings
- Drive additional business through a variety of means including agency visits, social events, trade shows, and correspondence
- Meet or exceed sales goals for both existing and new business within Nebraska
- Maintain a database of current and prospective agents
- Serve as a primary relationship owner, trusted advisor, and point of contact for assigned agent accounts
- Become a subject-matter expert on ProAg’s products, business, and applications
- Monitor competitor and industry trends
- Collaborate with internal resources to prepare for training or educational events
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and government regulations
- Perform other relevant duties and projects assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least two years of sales experience, crop insurance experience preferred
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to facilitate cross-functionally
- Knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business
- Required to travel outside normal work location, travel is up to 75%
- Ability to work independently to achieve organizational goals and tasks
- Ability to build trust and relationships with key constituencies
