Senior Business Development Manager – Energy & Grid Solutions

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across utilities and energy clients
- Build and manage a high-value pipeline with accurate forecasting
- Build and maintain relationships with:
- – Utility companies
- – OEMs
- – Engineering consultants
- – Energy stakeholders
- Act as a trusted advisor, aligning solutions with client business and technical needs
- Develop strategic account plans across the Americas
- Identify market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities
- Expand presence within key accounts and regions
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and marketing teams to shape solutions
- Lead technical presentations and client discussions
- Align offerings with grid modernization and digital transformation initiatives
- Lead contract negotiations and close complex deals
- Structure agreements that support long-term partnerships
- Deliver against annual order booking targets
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (MBA preferred)
- 10–15+ years of business development or sales experience
- Proven success in power, utilities, or industrial automation sectors
- Strong understanding of:
- – Grid automation
- – Power systems
- – Energy infrastructure technologies
- Track record of achieving revenue targets and driving growth
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
