💰 $95,000 - $105,000 per year
About the role
- Support senior management in developing and executing PR strategies to generate maximum brand exposure through product placement, profile features and launches
- Increase awareness for assigned brands across campaigns, special projects, shows, presentations and events
- Promote clients to media and develop/maintain relationships with key journalists and media within assigned market
- Provide counsel to clients, lead client calls and in-person meetings, and have tough conversations in clients' best interests
- Develop cohesive communication strategies aligned to client business objectives
- Lead client programs and campaigns from planning to execution within specified budgets
- Collaborate with specialty resources across the agency (NYC, London and LA) to access network-wide expertise
- Own media relations, proactively pitch story ideas, and deliver strong editorial placement
- Provide strategic and tactical support to Divisional Director
- Work with in-house events team to manage launch events for media and influencers
- Oversee product-related media requests, sample distribution, tracking, and manage client product inventory
- Conduct general media monitoring across clients and competitors and compile weekly client agendas
- Produce high quality internal and external communications content
- Line manage and motivate team members, ensure targets and development plans, and manage Account Managers/Account Executives
- Exhibit new business skills, contribute to proposals and pitches, and bring in new business through networking
- Work closely with Purple’s social media team to ensure client milestones are promoted
- Understand paid, owned and earned media strategies and develop relationships with top influencers
- Maintain strong connections with leading and emerging editorial talents in the UK and Europe
Requirements
- Proven experience operating in a senior position within the fashion industry
- Proven commercial experience with working in a fast-paced environment
- Management experience is highly desirable
- Proven track record of creating a positive impact on business through implementation of a PR strategy
- Discreet, professional and well spoken, with excellent communication skills
- Imremely well-organised, methodical and efficient, with common sense and initiative
- Pro-active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly promote the Purple offering
- Creative and strategic thinker
- strong established fashion press contacts
- International press contacts are also desirable
- Strong experience of event management
- Strong presentation & superb writing skills
- Able to identify communication opportunities across multiple media platforms
- Strong MS Word skills; working knowledge of PowerPoint and Excel
- Impeccable client liaison skills and an established network of key contacts (brands and press) are essential
