About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct payments pricing analyses for existing customers
  • Communicate with existing customers by email and phone regarding payments pricing
  • Support Sales as a Payments subject matter expert
  • Prioritize custom payment rate requests
  • Analyze card processing statements
  • Advise Sales on deal pricing strategy
  • Represent Toast Payments in cross-functional strategic projects
  • Provide analytics support and escalate to management when necessary
  • Track operational metrics and present to department leaders
  • Handle customer pricing negotiation, pricing enablement, and billing inquiries
  • Perform advanced pricing analyses and set or approve processing rates
  • Manage and improve Toast Payments operational processes
  • Partner with Sales Enablement on Payments education initiatives
  • Optimize internal business operations for scale
  • Use Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and SQL daily

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or related fields required
  • 2–4 years of experience in an analytical or operations position, preferably including customer-facing communications via email, phone, and video
  • Ability to navigate complex and difficult customer conversations professionally and drive positive resolutions
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and ability to work with financial models
  • Experience preparing comprehensive presentation materials and decks for multilevel stakeholders
  • Experience contributing to department-level strategic initiatives from conception to delivery
  • Experience identifying process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Accuracy and problem-resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
  • Inquisitive nature and mathematical/analytical mindset
  • Preferred: experience in card processing, relationship management or similar client-facing functions, large datasets and relational database querying via SQL, Sigma or Hex, high-growth technology companies, and Salesforce/CRM reports and dashboards
