About the role
- Lead the growth and development of engineers with mentoring, coaching and career development, while also learning from their diverse experiences
- Design, build and maintain highly resilient, flexible and scalable architecture by collaborating closely with PM and rest of your team
- Ensure team makes solid technical decisions and team output is high quality
- Review code to ensure technical implementation meets functional requirements
- Champion the use of AI tools and practices to accelerate development, improve team velocity, and pioneer new ways of building - setting the bar for what it means to be an AI-first engineering organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of proven experience leading and managing software engineering teams with a track record of shipping reliable, scalable applications in a SaaS environment.
- Prior people and performance management experience
- Excellent cross-team communication skills on complex technical topics
- Growth mindset with an emphasis on learning and self/team-improvement
- Respectful, empathetic, and humble
- Focused on getting the right things done
- Experience in Fintech/SaaS/transaction processing, a plus but definitely not necessary
- Experience applying AI to enhance software development processes and help deliver value faster for customers. This includes familiarity with tools for AI-powered code assistance (like intelligent code generation and error detection), automated testing, and smart documentation, with a keen interest in leveraging AI to streamline workflows.
