About the role
- Design, build, and enhance Policy Administration Systems with a strong focus on configurability, extensibility, and performance
- Develop and manage complex, configurable data models that support diverse insurance products and regulatory needs
- Implement and integrate externalized workflow orchestration to support policy lifecycle events and business processes
- Design and develop API-first services to enable seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems
- Ensure solutions are cloud-agnostic and portable across infrastructure providers
- Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Support system modernization initiatives, including decoupling monoliths and enabling microservices-based architectures
- Apply best practices for security, performance, and maintainability in enterprise insurance platforms
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making
Requirements
- 15+ years of exp.
- Strong hands-on experience building or customizing Policy Administration Systems in the insurance domain
- Deep understanding of PAS architecture, policy lifecycle, and associated complexities
- Experience designing configurable and extensible data models
- Proven experience with workflow engines and externalized orchestration frameworks
- Strong experience with API-first development, RESTful services, and integration patterns
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, .NET, or equivalent enterprise platforms
- Experience building cloud-agnostic solutions with containerization and infrastructure abstraction
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex enterprise environments.
