About the role
- Employee-owned multi-discipline engineering and design firm hiring IT Manager
- Lead optimization of IT infrastructure, foster innovation, and deliver solutions
- Assess and manage current IT systems including cloud solutions, server platforms, and visualization technologies
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and growth and spearhead upgrades and advancements
- Mentor and empower IT team; ensure seamless collaboration and continuous improvement
- Work closely with Chief Information/Technology Officer to steer strategic and tactical technology vision
- Hands-on role balancing leadership, technical expertise, and collaboration
- Reside within regular commuting distance of Bloomington and travel to other TKDA office locations as needed
- Flexible hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in office, 2 days remote
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field
- Five or more years of experience directly managing, coaching, and developing IT professionals, including helpdesk analysts and systems analysts
- Progressive and extensive experience managing and maintaining networks, servers, and storage infrastructure
- Prior experience developing budgets and managing expenditures for IT projects and initiatives
- Ability to travel between TKDA office locations as necessary
- Prior experience with Architecture, Engineering, or Construction industry (advantageous)
- Familiarity with AE industry-specific software (AutoCAD, Revit, Bentley, BIM/CAD tools)
- Prior experience with cloud computing and collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, and/or Microsoft (advantageous)
- Technical experience: Microsoft Azure, M365 Admin Centers, Windows Server Hybrid, Teams; Cisco/Meraki network administration; Microsoft Hyper-V and/or VMWare hypervisor; Panzura or enterprise cloud storage solutions
