About the role
- GDIT Agile Project Manager for GenAI and Agentic AI delivery supporting VA's Unified Claims Acceleration Platform (UCAP)
- Accelerate digital transformation of claims processing with AI-driven automation and multimodal solutions
- Serve as Agile Product/Project Manager for cross-functional GenAI scrum team building LLMs, agentic workflows, and multimodal processing
- Manage scope, schedules, and deliverables across Agile sprints and program increments
- Collaborate with VA stakeholders, product owners, data scientists, and engineers to define, prioritize, and track requirements and use cases
- Translate business and functional requirements into actionable user stories with acceptance criteria
- Coordinate across multiple teams (Pega workflow, integration, AI/ML) to ensure alignment of dependencies and release milestones
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives
- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and impediments and drive resolutions across technical and program management teams
- Ensure compliance with VA processes, documentation standards, and stakeholder reporting protocols
- Champion human-centered design and responsible AI implementation across all project stages
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years of IT business analysis/project management experience
- 4+ years in an Agile delivery environment as product/project manager
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with AI/ML components and modern data architectures
- 4+ years hands-on experience supporting VA programs with product or systems development, deployment and maintenance; in-depth familiarity with VA systems, stakeholders, and process frameworks
- 2+ years supporting VA programs with Veterans benefits delivery or benefits support
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills across business and technical teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or VersionOne
- Understanding of AI product lifecycle, including data sourcing, model training, human feedback, and responsible AI principles
- Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance (Level 2)
- Preferred: Prior experience delivering Generative AI, LLMs, or multimodal models in government settings; SAFe, PMI-ACP, CSM or equivalent; familiarity with VistA, Pega, VES, DOCMP, or CIPM; exposure to Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock, LangChain, or Azure OpenAI
