About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Preparing environmental compliance reports, including annual air emissions inventory reports, hazardous waste generator’s reports, SARA 312 Tier II reports, Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reports, air permit summary of monitoring and compliance certifications and similar reports.
  • Preparing environmental Plans such as Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3s) and Slug Discharge Control Plans.
  • Preparing environmental Permit Applications for industrial wastewater and industrial stormwater discharges, and air emissions sources.
  • Conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments in accordance with ASTM International’s E1527-21 Standard, including site visits, and ordering, receiving and reviewing database reports and writing Phase I ESA Reports (preferred); and,
  • Contributing to the preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, specifications and proposals.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, civil, chemical engineering, environmental science, geologist or related field (required)
  • Advanced degree (M.S.) in a related field (preferred)
  • Engineer in Training (E.I.T.), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or similar professional certification in your field (preferred)
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
  • Excellent writing and communication skills (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting deadlines, and traveling to facilities as needed (required)
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (required)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER trained (preferred)
  • Prior experience in environmental consulting (preferred)
