About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaboration and mentoring are cornerstones of Geosyntec’s culture.
  • You’d work on challenging technical projects leveraging your existing knowledge and experience.
  • Help Geosyntec expand its current practices and capabilities through business development and client management.
  • Develop remedial strategies and site-specific closure strategies;
  • Manage complex site investigation and remediation implementation efforts for a variety of project sites;
  • Effectively stewarding and building client relationships to facilitate repeat business;
  • Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;
  • Management and mentoring of early career staff and managing subcontractors;
  • Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing;
  • Preparing technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
  • Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, geology, or a related field. (required)
  • Advanced degree in earth science, environmental engineering, or a related field. (preferred)
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.), if applicable. (required)
  • At least 10 years (15+ preferred) of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients (required)
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
