About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Structural design, coastal design, geotechnical investigation, and site layout;
- Prepare foundation and pile design as well as ground improvement recommendations;
- Developing engineering solutions to challenging structural and geotechnical problems and site conditions;
- Coordination and support with marine and geotechnical team on projects;
- Oversee waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects;
- Design and engineering for a variety of areas such as harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management;
- Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems;
- Small project/task management and proposal preparation support;
- Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications;
- Attend meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with engineering structural analysis software such as AUTOCAD, SAP2000, HILTI, ALLPILE, STAAD Pro, MATLab, SWAN, SBEACH, MIKE21, and Plaxis. (2D/3D).
- Strong oral and technical writing skills.
- Familiarity with international structural design standards including Eurocode and British Standards.
- Familiarity and experience on coastal and waterfront projects.
