Experienced Water/Wastewater Design Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities for public and industrial clients
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of water professionals to deliver innovative solutions
- Prepare process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) in accordance with ISA standards
- Perform engineering analyses, including planning and feasibility studies
- Develop design drawings and specifications for treatment systems
- Support occasional fieldwork and construction-phase services
- Apply process engineering principles to support evaluation and optimization of treatment systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental)
- At least 5 years of experience (7+ years preferred) in the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, and conveyance projects
- Experience preparing engineering design packages (including calculations, technical specifications, and design drawings) for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination involving process, civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls design
- Experience with treatment process evaluation, hydraulic analysis, and equipment sizing and selection for municipal or industrial water and wastewater systems
- Strong technical writing, communication, and collaboration skills
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
