About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities for public and industrial clients
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of water professionals across the country
Prepare process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) in accordance with ISA standards
Perform engineering analyses, including planning and feasibility studies
Develop design drawings and specifications for treatment systems
Support occasional fieldwork and construction-phase services
Apply process engineering principles to support the evaluation and optimization of treatment systems
Assist with treatment, management, and remediation projects
Analyze and interpret technical data and prepare project documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental) (required)
Advanced degree in the same (preferred)
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or progress toward licensure (preferred)
At least 5 years of experience in the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, and conveyance projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
Experience preparing engineering design packages for water and wastewater infrastructure projects (required)
Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination involving process, civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls design (preferred)
Experience with treatment process evaluation, hydraulic analysis, and equipment sizing and selection for municipal or industrial water and wastewater systems (preferred)
Strong technical writing, communication, and collaboration skills (preferred)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
