About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities for public and industrial clients
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of water professionals across the country
  • Prepare process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) in accordance with ISA standards
  • Perform engineering analyses, including planning and feasibility studies
  • Develop design drawings and specifications for treatment systems
  • Support occasional fieldwork and construction-phase services
  • Apply process engineering principles to support the evaluation and optimization of treatment systems
  • Assist with treatment, management, and remediation projects
  • Analyze and interpret technical data and prepare project documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental) (required)
  • Advanced degree in the same (preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or progress toward licensure (preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience in the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater treatment, pumping, and conveyance projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
  • Experience preparing engineering design packages for water and wastewater infrastructure projects (required)
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination involving process, civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls design (preferred)
  • Experience with treatment process evaluation, hydraulic analysis, and equipment sizing and selection for municipal or industrial water and wastewater systems (preferred)
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and collaboration skills (preferred)
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
