About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee design, installation, and maintenance of facility electrical power systems (480V/240V distribution, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, generators)
- Own electrical standards, safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, CE), and documentation
- Partner with Facilities, Manufacturing, and Automation teams on equipment installations and upgrades
- Lead root-cause analysis for electrical failures, downtime events, and equipment reliability issues
- Ensure electrical schematics, wiring diagrams are maintained and updated
- Manage external contractors, integrators, and vendors as required
- Drive continuous improvement in power reliability, energy efficiency, and electrical safety
- Provide capital project support including scope development, design review, and commissioning
- Serve as Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical field
- At least 5 years in Electrical Design; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Prior experience on large EPC project and/or nuclear project
- Working knowledge of control plans and voltage distribution systems
- Working knowledge of CAD tools and/or ETAP
- Knowledge of electrical standards and codes
- Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing
