About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee design, installation, and maintenance of facility electrical power systems (480V/240V distribution, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, generators)
Own electrical standards, safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, CE), and documentation
Partner with Facilities, Manufacturing, and Automation teams on equipment installations and upgrades
Lead root-cause analysis for electrical failures, downtime events, and equipment reliability issues
Ensure electrical schematics, wiring diagrams are maintained and updated
Manage external contractors, integrators, and vendors as required
Drive continuous improvement in power reliability, energy efficiency, and electrical safety
Provide capital project support including scope development, design review, and commissioning
Serve as Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical field
At least 5 years in Electrical Design; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience on large EPC project and/or nuclear project
Working knowledge of control plans and voltage distribution systems
Working knowledge of CAD tools and/or ETAP
Knowledge of electrical standards and codes
Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship
Ability to pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance.
