Process Engineer – Flow Systems

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help design and integrate next‑generation nuclear systems
- Contribute to thermal‑fluid and heat‑transfer modeling for nuclear applications, translating analysis into practical design decisions
- Support structural and materials evaluations using modern simulation tools
- Draft clear technical documentation: design specs, test plans, and verification procedures
- Collaborate with senior engineers across mechanical, nuclear, and systems disciplines to integrate models with real equipment
- Participate in safety reviews, risk assessments, and system verification activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Chemical, Nuclear, or Systems Engineering)
- Academic or project experience in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, or structural analysis
- Experience with flow calculations
- Experience with P&IDs
- Familiarity with modeling tools such as ANSYS, SolidWorks, MATLAB, etc.
- Due to federal contract security requirements, this position requires U.S. Citizenship (required)
- Due to federal contract security requirements, candidates must be able to successfully pass a federal background investigation to secure and maintain DOE Q security clearance (preferred)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required)
