About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Designing, developing, and managing project-specific relational database applications using enterprise (MS SQL Server, EQuIS) database software;
- Developing comprehensive workflows and metadata to automate compilation of data from multiple sources;
- Managing and organizing datasets for the entire lifecycle of environmental data;
- Providing QA/QC on data, systems, and processes related to environmental data;
- Compiling, verifying, analyzing, and reporting large and diverse datasets;
- Interacting with internal and external providers to coordinate collection and transfer of data;
- Collection, manipulation, querying, and analysis of databases and environmental analytical and geospatial data;
- Interacting with internal and external clients to support database management and data visualization.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, geography, computer science, engineering, or geology.
- At least 5 years of technical training and experience in relational database technology.
- Experience with database management and building ETL processes.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and MS Access.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries.
- Exceptional attention to detail in quantitative work products, written communication, spelling, and grammar.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (preferred).
- Proficiency with EarthSoft’s EQuIS environmental data management platform (preferred).
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
