About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Designing, developing, and managing project-specific relational database applications using enterprise (MS SQL Server, EQuIS) database software;
Developing comprehensive workflows and metadata to automate compilation of data from multiple sources;
Managing and organizing datasets for the entire lifecycle of environmental data;
Providing QA/QC on data, systems, and processes related to environmental data;
Compiling, verifying, analyzing, and reporting large and diverse datasets;
Interacting with internal and external providers to coordinate collection and transfer of data;
Collection, manipulation, querying, and analysis of databases and environmental analytical and geospatial data;
Interacting with internal and external clients to support database management and data visualization.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, geography, computer science, engineering, or geology.
At least 5 years of technical training and experience in relational database technology.
Experience with database management and building ETL processes.
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and MS Access.
Ability to write complex SQL queries.
Exceptional attention to detail in quantitative work products, written communication, spelling, and grammar.
Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (preferred).
Proficiency with EarthSoft’s EQuIS environmental data management platform (preferred).
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel.
