Engineering Technician
TinyURLEngineering Technician providing construction quality assurance and multi-media sampling in environmental consulting. Supporting projects in the Boca Raton office with fieldwork and data collection.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform field and on-site laboratory tests on soil, geosynthetics, aggregates, and other materials
- Monitor contractor activities on job sites for compliance with relevant contract documents
- Provide CQA observation and monitoring on construction and environmental activities
- Perform multi-media sampling in support of investigations and data collection projects
- Prepare daily and weekly field reports, construction schedules & progress reports
- Ensure project documentation is correct and consistent with company policy
- Interact with project personnel and cultivate an integrated team approach
- Assist in the preparation of final data packages and health and safety documents
- Observe and abide by site-specific project health and safety policies
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to project or office sites as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) (required)
- Up to two (2) years applicable experience (preferred)
- Experience ensuring field activities comply with construction plans and specifications (preferred)
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings (preferred)
- Experience with the operation of industry typical monitoring and data collection equipment (preferred)
- Experience with multi-media sampling including soil, water, and air (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word (required)
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (required)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team (required)
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 49 pounds unaided (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record (required)
