About the role
- Fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, construction quality assurance and oversight, and remediation system operation and maintenance;
- Chemical data analysis and development of conceptual site models;
- Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation;
- Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting;
- Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses;
- Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
- Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology or related scientific field. (required)
- Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)
- At least 2 years of related experience, which may include conducting field work, observation of drilling and well installation, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, soil vapor and indoor air sampling, and other field techniques, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
- Detail-oriented work ethic and demonstrated ability to solve problems. (required)
- Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
- Collaborative attitude and interest in working in a team environment. (required)
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs including Word and Excel. (required)
- Interest in long-term career development. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental investigation and remediation. (preferred)
- Technical experience in geology, hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or related disciplines. (preferred)
- Experience and familiarity with construction work such as plumbing, electrical, structural, geotechnical, or mechanical systems. (valuable)
- Regular field work and overnight travel. (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
