Fieldwork such as soil and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, construction quality assurance and oversight, and remediation system O&M
Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation
Groundwater and soil remedy evaluation, cost estimation, design calculations, and implementation
Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting
Aquifer testing and hydrogeologic data analyses
Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures
Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology or related field (required)
Advanced degree in the same (preferred)
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, if applicable (preferred)
At least 2 years of related experience, including observation of drilling and well installation, soil sampling, groundwater sampling, vapor sampling, and other field techniques, or equivalent combination of education and experience (required)
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation (preferred)
Prior internship experience in environmental consulting (valuable)
Technical experience in geology, geotechnical, environmental, or related disciplines (preferred)
Experience with construction work such as plumbing, electrical, structural, geotechnical, or mechanical tasks (valuable)
Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and related software; AutoCAD and/or GIS (preferred)
Excellent writing and communication skills (required)
Regular field work and overnight travel (required)
Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing (required)
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)
