About the role
- Fieldwork such as soil, surface water and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation treatment system operation and maintenance;
- Chemical data and contaminant fate & transport evaluation;
- Engineering and data analysis and calculations, including preparing maps, tables, and figures;
- Remediation engineering consisting of remedy evaluations, cost estimating, design, and implementation;
- Water and wastewater treatment design for industrial facilities;
- Computer modeling related to hydraulic analysis;
- Preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
- Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering
- Advanced degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering. (preferred)
- Prior research experience focusing on remediation technologies, water or wastewater treatment, or sustainability. (preferred)
- 2 years of related experience or prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification and the ability to become professionally licensed within five years of employment. (preferred)
- Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, WaterGEMS, or InfoWater. (preferred)
- Regular field work and overnight travel (up to 25%). (required)
- Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing. (required)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
